maybe they got a little grayer too and a little creakier and ran out of money and moved to Florida and bought two new dogs and got married and joined the nursing home and... yeah I knew her....
We will prolly never know who did what when and why things are as we see them now. We could look at this house - with its traditional architecture of the time and area - as a monument to someone (or family) who built it, lived in it, loved in it, raised children there (and perhaps a few animals(?)) and then left.
In a similar way, we all are going to leave behind markers of our having been here as we go about our daily business. Not all of our "markers" will be physical - like this house. Many of the indicators that we leave behind will be mental or emotional in the people we have touched.
Sometimes a kind word or smile to someone we do not know will stay with them for the rest of their life.
And, hopefully, we can be a witness for the good news of God what will be seed to change a life.
I like to read; love to sing, and to daydream in my hammock.(Except it's broken.) I love chocolate chip cookies and tall white chocolate mochas from Starbucks. I love summer evenings and front porches.
And I've got an awesome God who loves me. I'm good to go.

Sorry to prattle on....
I love pics, like this. I actually see beauty. If walls could speak, what tales we would hear...
If this house was build of memories it could stand a thousand years...
Cool pic, T!
