I DON'T like old country....when it's OLD country. I DO like the NEW remakes though. For example...Martina Mcbride's new C.D. Timeless is a blessing from above. It's got all the old songs with a new voice! I don't have to endure Conway's voice anymore cause now...he sounds like Martina! YAY!!!

yesss GO TIMELESS the best old country cd out in my mind. thats what i diden't like about old country was the VOICES. Some of them (the singers )just needed to learn how to sing w/o doing it through their noses.

I didn't mean that I don't have a lick of respect for the old guys. They definitely deserve credit for all that country music is today (not much somtimes :O).
I just prefer the new stuff as opposed to the old stuff. Don't worry, you'll still catch me proudly humming along to "Good Ole' Boys" every now and then ( I LOVE that song!!)
I also don't mean to imply that the artists of yesteryear didn't have any talent. I think they had plenty of talent. After all, here we are thirty and forty years later STILL being effected by their music.
